Who we are
Akompas is making a difference in education and community development in the Dominican Republic. Our mission is clear: we provide internships and support to U.S. university students studying fields like education, social work, engineering, and STEAM. At the same time, we empower underprivileged Dominican youth. Through strong local partnerships and a commitment to education, we’re boosting social mobility and growth in the Dominican Republic.
What makes us unique is our all-encompassing approach. We offer internship coordination, innovative education, personal mentoring, and Spanish classes to ensure our students have an outstanding experience. We work closely with local organizations and schools to make a real impact in the community.
